This is the lucky Japanese cat (ねこ) that I gave to Sandra on her birthday last year, and mentioned a couple of weeks ago. I got it in the Japanese Shop in York. It's a great shop if you're after some pocky, or anything else Japanese.

When we went to the garden centre (also mentioned in a previous post) Sandra bought this cherry tree, and suggested that it might go well as a background when I took a photo of the cat. It made an easier subject than the real cats who followed me into the garden as usual, but steadfastly refused to look at the camera.
